Greg Lauren garments at Barracks, Grand St, NYC. These are more works of art than clothes, pieces fashioned from military surplus tents and materials. Inside each garment is a tag identifying its prior life. All of the pieces are handmade and one of a kind. And they don’t come cheap: the puffer jacket was about a G and the coats are about three times that. But they feel like nothing else in stores and will definitely start conversations.

The installation is on (probably) through the end of the year. And yes, Greg is Ralph’s nephew…but don’t expect to see these on the racks at on Madison anytime soon. See more here.
