Please allow me to introduce you to one of the next great R&B artists, Pinky Liberachi. Based off his name alone he’s destined for stardom, but you better believe he has the musical talents to back it up. Guys like The Weeknd and Ty $ign have brought new life to the R&B genre in recent years and Mr. Liberachi is poised to do the same.
10 seconds into Pinky Liberachi’s “Love Pink” EP (as well as a glance at the cover art) and you know that you’re getting something different: a heavy dose of guitar. In a time where Rap and R&B genres are oversaturated with copycats, Pinky’s music breathes fresh life and couldn’t come at a better time. Pinky is a native of Lexington, Kentucky, a state not exactly known for its musical output (although Bryson Tiller was born just an hour or so away in Louisville) but his music certainly brings some of that Southern soul to the rest of the country.
My dude Joshton Peas, who undeniably knows his music and is an underrated presence in the music biz, first turned me onto Pinky and will be releasing “Love Pink” under his new management company “Ain’t hit Funny.”
I was blessed with the project a little early, and I can tell you it’s as solid a debut project as you’ll find these days. My two favorite tracks are Lil Mama Interlude and OMW, but make sure you give the whole project a full spin through.
