here’s another story about nothing. right before gomez started his dj set at casey’s sleeping in class listening party, he told me he was going to give us a history lesson. he then proceeded to spin the forefathers of west coast hip hop from nwa to heiro to dogg pound. it was a great set, something that stood out despite such an eventful day. at the culmination of his set we presented the people with sleeping in class, another chapter in the west coast book of hip hop.
