In 2010, fashion designer Patrick Mohr exclusively designed and reinterpreted the “DCAC” sneaker silhouette by basketball brand K1X. The limited edition sneaker (only 150 pairs worldwide) underwent an inaugural introduction at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Berlin, January 2010, where it was featured in Mohr’s highly celebrated fashion show.
Introducing the 2nd edition: K1X DCAC Patrick Mohr Mk2
Six months later (July 2010), the Mk2 was introduced at the summer edition of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in three new color ways (sand/black, white/black, red/black). The sneaker boasts high-end nubuck leather. Yes, even the laces are cut from leather. The collar padding consists of black calf leather. Graphic shapes are Patrick Mohr’s trademark; therefore the Mk2′s exteriors are marked with an imprint in the form of multiple triangles, while the tongue features triangular shaped cutouts. A distinct characteristic of the sneaker is the wooden triangle which is located on the right shoes’ tongue and also doubles as an accessory that can be worn as an amulet. The individuality of the shoe is completed by an innovative leather strap which is attached to the upper side of the shoe’s heel. It can be fixed to the ankle or lower leg – or simply be worn as a wrist-accessory.
Limited to 80 units Worldwide per color way — as we will be carrying the Red color as well.
