joshtonpeas:

Towards the tail end of 2012, at the height of the “Inspired By" trend, I decided to poke fun at the streetwear fashionistas. It was a simple idea born from the similarities between the Supreme box logo and the Hermès box logo, found exclusively at the Rodeo Dr. location. The similarities didn’t stop at the logos. Both Supreme and Hermès are known for making superior products while maintaining inferior customer service.

Before the release, we teased a few photos of the shirt and deck to the media. The hype machine kicked into gear and then I received the letter. The day before the release I got an official cease and desist from the desk of Andrew Baum, copyright attorney for Hermès Paris. How did Hermès International S.A. find out about little ole Joshton Peas of AintShitFunny.com? I’m not sure. What I do know is, Hermès is watching. So here’s a little message for Mr. Baum, Patrick Thomas, and Pierre-Alexis Dumas: Ain’t Shit Funny. #aintshitfunny
